Erap Nagsalita na Kung Bakit Hindi niya Pinaalis ang mga illegal Vendors Noon

With the big change in Manila under the leadership of the newly elected municipal Mayor Isko Moreno, people cannot avoid to compare him to the previous mayor Erap Estrada.

Erap answered the question why he did not disperse the vendors on Divisoria, when Mayor Moreno easily made it.

According to Erap, it's not easy to expel the vendors because he wanted to make sure that the vendors have enough source of income 'after the clearing operation because those vendors might end up committing crimes for them to survive.

“Nilinis naman natin pero kung ang sasabihin mo sa akin yung mga vendor na nilinis, inalis lahat eh hindi ko kayang gawin ‘yon hanggang walang kapalit na hanapbuhay sila,” Erap said.

The former mayor of Manila said he could easily order clearing operations to the firefighters and policemen. But he chose not to because he really care's for the poor.

“Kayang-kaya utusan hindi ba sumunod ang pulis at mga bumbero? Orderan mo lang ‘yan sandali lang yun, pero isipin ang damage na kawawa naman ang mahihirap. Biruin mo umaasa sa pagkain nila,”  Erap said.
