5 Brand ng Suka na May ‘Synthetic Acetic Acid’ Inilabas na ng FDA



The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has released 5 vinegar brands found to contain synthetic acetic acid.


The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Tuesday announced that five out of the 39 commonly used vinegar brands it tested contained synthetic acetic acid and must not be sold to the public.

Here are the vinegar manufacturers found on synthetic acetic acid:
  1. Surebuy Cane Vinegar (with best before date of March 26, 2021
  2. Tentay Pinoy Style Vinegar (with best before date of March 18, 2021
  3. Tentay Premium Vinegar (with batch number TV Sep0718 AC)
  4. Tentay Vinegar Sukang Tunay Asim (which expires on June 6, 2020)
  5. Chef’s Flavor Vinegar (with batch number 8870401)






According to Health Undersecretary Rolando Enrique Domingo, such vinegar should not be sold to the public.

The FDA, however, clarified that the brands of vinegar found with synthetic acid were only deemed as substandard but does not pose a safety issue or any health risk to consumers.
