3rd Telco Mislatel Aarangkada na

Metro Manila and other mega cities nationwide residents could presently have the choice to avail of the mobile services of Mindanao Islamic Telephone Company, Inc. (Mislatel).

Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) acting Secretary Eliseo Rio Jr.  said the third telecommunications player is one step aloof from providing its mobile services to the general public.
"They will start in Metro Manila, Cebu, 'yung mga heavily-populated cities. Siguro by September or October of this year, meron na silang mga subscribers from Metro Manila," Secretary Eliseo Rio said.
Before securing the permit, Secretary Rio said the third telco Mislatel has begun installing cell sites and other infrastructure for nationwide coverage.

Mislatel committed to cover 37% of subscribers on its first year and will increase to 84% in its fifth year.

The third major telco also pledged to build a thousand cell sites in a year. Mislatel has vow to spend nearly ₱260 billion for a wider reach, with a promise to raise the average internet speed to 55 Mbps by its fifth year.
