Veteran Comedian Gary Lising found dead by son in condo


Philippine veteran comedian Gary Lising, was found dead in his condo unit yesterday, May 31, by his only son, Bugsy.

He is 78 years old.

Gary's brother Pompeii Lising, confirmed it through a Facebook post.



I am sad to inform some terrible news. We lost our beloved Gary Lising, my eldest brother, today. Gary, thank you for all the laughs and love, we will miss you deeply. But I know that your jokes will make God laugh. Rest In Peace my dear brother.
Lising said he suffered a heart attack in 2009 and underwent angioplasty more than once in 2012.

Harassing women and members of LGBT persuasion by catcalling, wolf-whistling or with sexist slurs and gestures is now punishable under a new law.


The law is formally called “Safe Streets and Public Spaces Act” but it has also been coined as the “Bawal Bastos” law.

President Rodrigo Duterte has declared June 5 a holiday in observance of the Eid‘l Fitr, the end of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

“In order to bring the religious and cultural significance of the Eid’l Fitr to the fore of national consciousness, it is necessary to declare Wednesday, 05 June 2019, a regular holiday throughout the country,” a copy of the declaration signed by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea stated.


Eid’l Fitr marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan for Muslims.

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte Approves “Magna Carta of the Poor”

Republic Act 11291  known as the Magna Carta of the Poor, was signed on April 12, 2019, and ordered departments and agencies of the government to give "full access" to government services to the poor.


The new law seeks to ensure that poor Filipinos will have access to adequate food, especially in times of calamities or natural disasters.

It also mandates the government to provide programs for the poor to promote their food self-sufficiency.


Under the new law, the poor shall be classified as persons whose income falls below the poverty threshold as defined by the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), and those who cannot afford their minimum basic needs of food, health, education, and housing.




Concerned government agencies are are ordered to do mechanisms to meet the following rights of poor Filipinos:

2 Years Mandatory Military Service for Filipino Youth Agree ka Ba?

Senator-elect Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa is considering pushing for the mandatory military service in lieu of the Reserve Officer Training Course (ROTC).

He wanted to imitate what the other countries are doing to their citizens by pushing a mandatory military service to all Filipinos who reached their right age.


According to him, mandatory military service would help the country to boost its territorial defense in case of foreign invasion.




“Like other countries na pagdating mo ng 18 years old, obligado ka na mag-serve sa military for two years. Walang pakialam ang gobyerno kung anak ka ng mayaman, o ng mahirap, kung sikat ka o artista ka, maganda din iyon,” he said.
"Itong mga kabataan na sige dakdak nang dakdak. Sila lang daw ang makabayan, ang Duterte administration daw ay Team China. Ako ayaw ko na agawin ng China ang ating bansa," dela Rosa said.

Sec. Martin Andanar Supports Erwin Tulfo as Next PCOO Chief

Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar says he has complete confidence that veteran broadcaster Erwin Tulfo can take over the helm at the PCOO.


Andanar said he has heard rumors of him possible replacing senator elect Francis Tolentino as Presidential adviser for political affairs.

But Andanar said they will remain just that rumors until President Duterte actually appoints Tolentino's successor.

MJ Quiambao Reyes, an international trade expert criticized Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan for claiming that the opposition is still going to continue their fight against poverty and unemployment.

NBI Clearance, TIN, Birth Certificate Libre Na!

First-time jobseekers will be exempted from paying government fees and charges on documents needed for job application under a new law First-time Jobseekers Assistance Act (RA 11261) signed by President Duterte.


Under the law, individuals who seek employment for the first time will be able to secure identification documents and clearances issued by the government for free.

Application for the following documents will be free of charge under the new law:




1. Police clearance certificate
2. National Bureau of Investigation clearance
3. Barangay clearance
4. Medical certificate from a public hospital
5. Birth certificate
6. Marriage certificate
7. Transcript of academic records issued by state colleges and universities
8. Tax Identification Number (TIN)
9. Unified Multi-Purpose ID (UMID) card
10. Other documentary requirements issued by the government that may be required by employers for job applicants



The law takes effect 15 days after publication in the Official Gazette or a newspaper.

Senator Bato to push Mandatory ROTC to teach young Pinoys who are against China to defend our country

Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa has an idea to help the young Filipinos who wanted to defend the Philippines against a possible Chinese invasion.

In a Facebook post, “Bato” expressed his intention to push for the mandatory Reserved Officers Training Corps (ROTC) so the people who are calling the Duterte administration as pro-China and claiming that they’re patriotic can defend the country anytime.

According to the Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism (PCIJ), Mar Roxas is one of the biggest spenders of the senatorial elections when it comes to advertising from February 12 to April 30, 2019.


Mar Roxas is the highest among the candidates who acquired advertisement, followed by Billionaire senatorial re-electionist Cynthia Villar.

The price provided by Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism does not include the expenses of the candidates in transportation and other campaign-related needs.

Tsunami Alert after Magnitute 7.7 Quake Hits Papua New Guinea

A powerful earthquake measuring magnitude 7.7 has struck Papua New Guinea, triggering a tsunami alert for the country and the nearby Solomon Islands.


According to the US Geological Survey, the center of the earthquake is in Rabaul's eastern coast was recorded.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has been releasing a tsunami threat in parts of the Pacific after the earthquake.

Papua New Guinea sits on the Pacific's "Ring of Fire," the arc of seismic faults around the Pacific Ocean where most of the world's earthquakes and volcanic activity occur.

13 April 2019 Monday, Senatorial candidate Cynthia Villar was surprised after her voter’s receipt did not match her actual voting list on Monday May 13.

In an interview, The senator said she was surprised when she saw a certain name of a candidate she didn’t vote in her voter’s receipt.


Top Senatorial candidate  Cynthia Villar arrived early in their voting precinct at Las Piñas City Science High School together with her family former Senator Manny Villar and DPHW Sec. Mark Villar.
