College Degree Should Not be a Qualification to Become a Senator



Both Senators Nancy Binay and Grace Poe have opposed the proposal to include college graduates with qualifications to become senators based on the draft federal constitution of the Chamber.


Senator Binay's rationality, sincerity is not seen to serve the people after graduating from college.

According to Binay, it is a discrimination because many senators who have not graduated from college have done well in their work in the country.

Senator Poe explains, personality is more important than a college degree.


Poe even pointed out that in a democracy, it is not possible to say that only college graduates need to be elected because everyone should have a representation.
