President Rodrigo Duterte today February 20, 2019 signed the Universal Health Care Act, a bill which seeks to give all Filipinos health care coverage and benefits. Loading... Under the law, Filipinos will be automatically enrolled in the proposed National Health Insurance Program (NHIP) either as “direct contributors” or those who have the capacity to pay premiums, or “indirect contributors” or those sponsored by the government such as indigents, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities. The law ensures all Filipinos are guaranteed equitable access to quality and affordable health goods and services and protection against financial risks. It automatically enrolls all Filipinos to the National Health Insurance Program (NHIP). Filipino residents can avail of  primary health care services even without PhilHealth identification cards.

Grace Poe Still Tops 2019 Senate Race According to Pulse Asia Poll

Re-electionist Sen. Grace Poe remains the most preferred senatorial bet in the upcoming midterm elections, according to the latest survey by Pulse Asia. The survey, conducted from Jan. 26 to 31 with the results released Friday, showed Poe retaining her lead with 74.9 percent of 1,800 respondents saying they would vote for her. Fellow re-electionist Sen. Cynthia Villar also kept second spot with 60.5 percent. Sharing third to six spots were former senators Taguig Rep. 90-Year-Old Man who Tried to Assassinate President Duterte and Bong Go Arrested

Former Special Assistant to the President Bong Go confirmed yesterday that a 90-year-old gunman allegedly plotted to assassinate him and President Rodrigo Duterte. "An old man went to OSAP in Davao City and he probably had a plan to kill me," says SAP Go in his Twitter account. Loading... The police arrested the 90-year-old Bambaran Bantog Bantaran, from Lanao del Sur. A 45-gun caliber, 11 rounds of ammunition and 2-pointed Bantog were placed in his sling bag headed to SAP Go's office in Davao City at around 5:00 pm. Bantog admitted to the police that his purpose in Davao City was to kill President Duterte and Go. The police are preparing the illegal possession of firearm, deadly weapon and gun ban on self-confess ed assassins by President Duterte and Go. The authorities are also trying to convince the assassin who ordered him to kill the President and Go.

This Piglet was born with 3 Eyes and 2 Eyes in Tacurong City

The residents of Barangay Calian are surprised by a pig with a unique appearance. It was 10 am on Thursday when the hog of Adelita Dalipe started giving birth. The first seven piglet was born normally. But when the eighth piglet came out, they were surprised to what they saw. Loading... The piglet has two heads, two snout and three eyes. According to Dalipe, they fed the mother pig with feeds so they wondered why the piglet looks like this. Veterinarian Allan Alimajen Jr. explained that there was a polycephaly condition in which the sperm was closed and did not separate so another piglet did not form instead. This condition is also common in some livestock animals and even in humans. But this condition usually does not last long. Until now, the piglet is still alive and actively engaged but not walking properly because of the weight of his head.
